Welcome to Savidge Health
We Treat the Underlying Causes of Your Health Issues
Symptoms are the body’s way of telling us something. Instead of simply quieting them, Chris looks for the pattern they’re calling your attention toward. Once the root cause is understood, Chris builds a treatment plan primarily using acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Where it’s supportive he will also employ moxibustion, cupping and diet & lifestyle guidance. The goal is steady, lasting improvement in how you feel day to day.

Traditional Chinese Medicine Services in Collingwood & Thornbury
Part of the brilliance of the Chinese approach to medicine is its seamless integration of diagnosis and treatment. Common Concerns
Conditions Chris Commonly Works With
Because Chinese medicine works with the underlying pattern rather than a single symptom, people come to Chris for a wide range of concerns. Below are a few of the most common. Scroll through, and hover to learn more.
Pain Conditions
Some common pain conditions that he regularly treats are musculoskeletal pain such as sciatica, back pain, joint pain, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, headache and migraine, period pain, digestive pain, chronic pain from accidents, carpal tunnel, neck pain and more.
Skin Conditions
As always, Chris treats the whole person and finds that by treating the underlying patterns such as digestive problems and excessive inflammation, skin conditions improve, often dramatically.
Some conditions he commonly treats include acne, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, hives and allergic reactions.
Mental Emotional Issues
Chris has been effectively treating anxiety, depression and other forms of mental suffering for many years.
Women's Health
The Chinese medical perspective is that both menstruation and perimenopause/menopause should be minimally disruptive to a woman’s quality of life. Please reach out if you would like to discuss what Chinese medicine can do for you to ease any difficult symptoms you have involving your monthly cycle or transition into menopause.
Digestive Disorders
Chris commonly treats digestive conditions such as acid reflux, IBS, inflammatory bowel conditions, constipation, diarrhea, loose stools and ulcers.
Respiratory Issues
Chris is also able to provide support in more serious conditions such as COPD. In all cases, though, improvement or elimination of respiratory symptoms improves vitality and wellbeing.
Autoimmune Issues
Many patients with autoimmune conditions find that they are able to reclaim their health and live with a higher level of wellbeing and vitality using the tools and methods of Chinese medicine.
Metabolic Disorders
The great thing about these conditions is that they usually respond well to Chinese medicine as well as lifestyle and dietary changes. Please reach out to discuss treatment options with Chris.
About
Meet Chris Savidge, R.Ac, R.TCMP
Chris is passionate about helping his patients live better lives. Whether you’re dealing with something acute or something long-standing, he builds a treatment plan around your goals.
He began studying acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in 2004 and earned his Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2007. He has practised in Ontario since 2009, working in the Classical Chinese Medicine (Jing Fang) style of Drs Feng Shi Lun and Suzanne Robidoux, and continues to study directly with Dr Robidoux. His clinical focus is internal medicine, and he regularly works with pain, autoimmune, skin, respiratory, digestive, hormonal, mental-emotional and neurological concerns. He also treats children.
What sets his practice apart is that he’s classically trained — he understands acupuncture within the full context of Traditional Chinese Medicine, rather than as a standalone technique.
